Amara was born a slave.
When the mage Zorren buys her freedom, she expects another master and another set of chains. Instead, she is given something she has never known before: kindness, protection, and the chance to discover who she is beyond the collar she has worn her entire life.
But life with the mage reveals something unexpected. While other apprentices are taught to command the elements, Amara hears voices within them. Spirits that whisper, guide, and respond as though they have minds of their own.
